“Faint Light, Dark Shadows” collects images in inner spiritual spaces which uncover the light and shadows beneath the luminous surface. The photos highlight the interdependence and opposition of light and shadows, brightness and darkness in photographs or images. 21 Taiwanese artists are featured and works are arranged according to their temporal, historical and physical characteristics and the relationship between photographers and subjects. Light produces both the bright and the dark sides of things, conveying their outline forms. Light, as it projects both brightness and shadow is the origin of and key element in the composition of the surface of things.
