This product is authorized by the National Museum of History by use SANYU's paintings.

The National Museum of History's collection features a piece by SANYU (1895-1966) titled"Lotus" (catalog number 26905). In this work, the artist uses Western media to depict thelotus, a common subject in Chinese art symbolizing noble character and purity, as it grows from the mud yet remains unstained. The lotus also puns with "harmony" in Chinese,representing the idea of a "hundred years of harmonious union." The painting shows the lotus in a bonsai pot, with a graceful and elegant posture. The stems are rendered with precise, fluid lines, and the overall color scheme is refined.
