Customer Reviews
Contemporary art must reflect social messages of its present time, including specific local culture and universal common experience. From June to November during every Venice Biennale exhibition period, Taiwan Pavilion, organized in the Prigioni Palace across the Bridge of Sighs, takes Taiwan contemporary art into the world. This book is to look back and also to compile a record for Taiwan Pavilion at the Venice Biennale from 1995 to 2007. The motive for looking back is to ask certain questions: How has this unique, international exhibition strongly demonstrated aspects of political diplomacy? How has the international art world assessed Taiwan’s participation? The reason to compile a record is to present this high quality international art feast to readers, and introduce the cutting edge viewpoints of Taiwan artists.
