《淡水夕照》原作2007年香港佳士得中國二十世紀及亞洲當代藝術部拍出，最終以四千五百萬元落槌，含佣金成交價近五千零七十三萬元港幣，約當時台幣2.1億，由亞洲資深收藏家得標購藏。

陳澄波

1895年生於臺灣嘉義，就讀東京美術學校圖畫師範科期間，以油畫作品〈嘉義街外（一）〉入選帝國美術展覽會，成為臺籍畫家中的第一人。1929年畢業後前往上海任教，與多位藝壇人士切磋交流，在個人創作上也展開了極具實驗性質的多方嘗試，包括「中西融和」的畫法和「前衛思潮」的探索。1933年返臺定居，極強烈的主觀意識和鄉土色感形構出獨特作品風格，為故鄉留下大批動人的畫作。

淡水夕照

從崎仔頂的高處朝海的方向遙望，小鎮與世界相連的歷史圖景，沿著畫中的烽火街，在陳澄波的眼前蜿蜒流轉──禮拜堂的鐘聲敲響了馬偕的傳教故事，河畔的碼頭與船隻，訴說著貿易如何帶動近代淡水的繁榮。遠處山崗上的紅毛城，如同她的過去一般渺遠。歷史澱積在小鎮的各個角落裡，透過淡水河的夕照，在畫裡閃耀著粼粼波光。

藝術微噴

藝術微噴是一種數位輸出技術，可稱為數位版畫或 Giclée，是將博物館典藏等級的高解析度數位圖像印製在各式不同質料的畫布或畫紙上，取代傳統印刷技術，能呈現出高飽和度的顏色，且保留極細緻的色彩變化，細膩地顯示出色彩的濃淡、融合和各種細節，充分展現出原作的精髓。

本品由陳澄波文化基金會授權及製作，限量99張，附有基金會鋼印及保證書。
