Gouached Taipei City

After a Rain 1931 | Gouache on silk | 133 x 191.5 cm|Taipei Fine Arts Museum Collection
Source:Taipei Fine Arts Museum

After a Rain
This work won the Taiten Award at the Fifth Taiten, and is now in the collection of Taipei Fine Arts Museum. Depicting the scenery of Zhishan Yan, KUO uses his usual realistic and richly colorful exquisite techniques to fill the picture with scenery; the crowded composition of densely arranged elements makes the painting more sophisticated. Although it is a sketch, the work looks as though depicting a dream-like scenery. Source: 國美館 經典再現 臺府展現存作品特展
