《台灣綜藝團》集結攝影家沈昭良2005至2016年間紀實攝影作品，拍攝地點遍及全台各地，內容主要聚焦於民間廟會慶典、婚喪活動中獨特且歷史久遠的移動式歌舞與哭喪演出。透過台前幕後的追蹤拍攝，連動觀者思考這項獨特娛樂產業之文化意義，呈現綜藝團與庶民社會關聯性，深刻觀照所處文化社會景況。攝影集之製作設計上，除了古典溫潤的高精細度暖調黑白印刷，也加入產業環境中的色彩與圖案，藉以增加觀者在情感、記憶與意象上的連結。

綜藝團、歌舞團、康樂隊為台灣特有移動式演出團體，自1970年代前後，即以歌舞表演活躍於台灣社會各式婚、喪、喜、慶等場合。全台綜藝團數量推估逾1000團，其中以雲林、嘉義及台南地區居首，呈現在地人藉謝神演出襄贊宗教之生活習慣。

綜藝團表演內容不斷推陳出新，除了影視歌星、跑場歌手的載歌載舞外，亦包含鋼管舞蹈、雜耍、魔術、民俗技藝、猛男秀、反串秀和大型樂團等各式演出。攝影師藉與跑場歌手近距離觀察，驚見表演者亮麗外表包裝下潛在的平凡與質樸，以紀實影像呈現現實社會地景與生命處境。
