The video work 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙧 (2024) opens the scene in a middle-class individual’s studio apartment, where invisible forces suddenly intervene — walls crack, furniture topples, audio from a virtual war game mixes with noises of actual explosions, and the room instantaneously demolished. Moments later, everything returns to normal as if the catastrophe never occurred. This cyclical narrative blurs the boundaries between life and disaster, reality and fiction, revealing how war seeps into all corners of daily existence. 
“When the constructs of ‘war’ transcends the conventional confines of artillery and military conflicts to encompass the disparity of post-capitalism, cyber aggression, fake news, climate anomalies, and ethnic oppression,” noted Yuan in his artist’s statement, “it becomes evident that war-like conditions have long permeated our daily lives.” 
The exhibition also features, for the first time, the behind-the-scenes technical sketches of 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙧, offering a detailed look at the complex mechanisms used in the film’s life-size set, one-shot filming, as well as the artist’s meticulous attention to detail.
