Liwu Fragrance originated from the Liwu Mountain and Liwu River in Taroko Gorge, Hualien. The team focuses on the restoration and cultivation of Taiwan's native herbs and spices, creating fragrances that capture the fresh and natural scents of Taiwan's East Coast. The aim is to preserve and share the unique aromatic stories and cultural heritage of the island of Taiwan.
Liwu Mountain, located in Taroko, Hualien, stands at an elevation of 1,274 meters.
It is home to the Truku people's Dali and Datong communities, which are vital cultural and living areas for the Truku (Taroko) Indigenous group.
To the east, Liwu-Mountain faces the Pacific Ocean; to the west, it is bordered by the towering peaks of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range. The Shakadang and Liwu Rivers flow along its southwestern foothills.
This region is rich in native aromatic plants and spices, which have long been essential to the local Indigenous way of life and are considered a valuable part of the area's cultural heritage.
