1922年出生於桃園縣大溪鎮的李鳴鵰，與鄧南光、張才是臺灣攝影史中最為人稱道的光影先行者，三人以不同的寫實風格在四、五○年代獨領風騷，他們並經常參與展覽與評審，提攜後進不遺餘力，被攝影界尊稱為「快門三劍客」。

李鳴鵰少年時期即在叔叔廖良福先生開的「大溪寫場」當學徒，隨後赴臺北「富士寫真館」工作，不僅吸收攝影知識，並學習一手修整玻璃底片的好手藝。1940年代李鳴鵰曾赴大陸嶺南美術學塾研學習水彩畫，返臺後在臺北衡陽路開設中美行照相器材行至今。他自1940年代開始使用Rolleiflex 雙眼相機，透過觀景窗紀錄臺灣社會的人文景觀。融合攝影專業與繪畫美學，他的攝影作品構圖精確，內容真淳並帶有寓意。本展將展出李鳴鵰自1940年代至90年代攝影作品二百餘件，呈現他在「日日是好日」的創作理念下，透過相機直覺、即興並真實的呈現生活的種種面貌，以及人性善良純樸的一面。
