《牧神的午後》系列，老師以自己「音樂上的初戀情人」法國作曲家德布西的《牧神的午後前奏曲》命名之。
​畫面中交纏著各種顏彩之間細針密縷的詩意，像是午后忽然降臨的一場彩虹雨，
那一道道遺留於窗玻璃上水痕，像是牧神寫給寧芙的情詩，字裡行間，訴說著淋漓奔放的熱情，以及悵然若失的思念。

《海的聲音》是江賢二得知將在台東美術館舉辦個展後，第一件開始創作的作品，同樣運用了工作室裡隨手可得的材料。
這一大面看似無窮無盡、各種湧動的藍，其實是由巨量的藍色擦拭紙團連綴而成，有著江賢二作品裡一貫的純淨、詩意和優美。
江賢二在台東日日看海，然而卻不是刻意為了「海」而創作「海」，而是讓早已烙印在生命裡的心像，伴隨著心境自然湧現。
